About the artist:

Ipswich based artist Deb Mostert started drawing as a child and never dropped the pencil. With a career starting in commercial art, Deb later pivoted to Fine Art, where her love of nature juxtaposed with objects and collections has fuelled her practice. Mostert is a representational artist based in observational drawing, and she continues to come back to this language to try and share what she sees with quiet humour. Her art revolves around objects as metaphors, collections as carriers of our stories and museums as repositories of our collective archives.
